The Little Elm Lobos basketball team (Little Elm, TX), was nudged 55-50 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX)

The Leopards now possess a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denison for a 5A Region II District 13 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Lovejoy will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 76-46 league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 7-11.

The Lobos (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against Boyd (McKinney, TX). The Broncos come into the 6A Region I District 5 battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Boyd edged Leander (Leander, TX), 59-51, in a non-league battle.
