Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lompoc Braves (Lompoc, CA) and the visiting Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), saw Lompoc's basketball squad overcome Taft by a tally of 82-67.

With the victory, Lompoc improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Righetti (Santa Maria, CA) to play the Warriors in a Mountain challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Righetti lost 84-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Sierra Pacific (Hanford, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Kennedy Thunderbirds (Delano, CA) in a South Sequoia challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Taft will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 59-50 non-league win over Highland (Bakersfield, CA).
