The Sunnyvale basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Lorena Leopards to 52 in the non-league triumph on Thursday.
The now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kaufman for a 4A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Sunnyvale will meet a Lions team coming off a 45-43 non-league loss to Stafford (Stafford, TX). The Lions record now stands at 2-15.
The Leopards (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX). The Yoemen enter the 3A Region III District 19 contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, C.H. Yoe nudged Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX), 60-59, in a non-league contest.
