Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Twentynine Palms Wildcats (Twentynine Palms, CA), 64-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mary Star of the Sea upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Stars travel to Verbum Dei (Los Angeles, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a Santa Fe bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Verbum Dei lost 51-45 in their recent non-league bout against West Covina (West Covina, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Cathedral City Lions (Cathedral City, CA) in a Desert Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Twentynine Palms will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 0-13 record after their 79-27 non-league loss to Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA).
