Texas High School Basketball - Nimitz knocked off by Washington

December 29, 2022: Houston, TX 77018

The Washington Eagles basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Nimitz Cougars to 61 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Houston Christian for a non-league contest on Friday, December 30. Washington will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 73-58 non-league win over Paetow (Katy, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 18-2.

The Cougars (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX). The Falcons enter the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Benjamin Davis was defeated by Seven Lakes (Katy, TX), 58-50, in a non-league contest.
