North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 78-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Stokes upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Andrews (Andrews, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-2. Andrews won 43-41 in their recent non-league bout against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC)

Next up, the Maroon Devils play the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Swain County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 43-41 non-league loss to Andrews (Andrews, NC).
