The Union Tigers basketball team (Mount Storm, WV), was overwhelmed 70-37 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, WV)

The Vikings now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moorefield for a non-league battle on Friday, December 30. Petersburg will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 73-66 non-league win over Pendleton County (Franklin, WV). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-4.

The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Pendleton County (Franklin, WV). The Wildcat come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Pendleton County was overwhelmed by Moorefield (Moorefield, WV), 73-66, in a non-league battle.
