The Valley Christian Academy Lions basketball team (Santa Maria, CA), dropped 63-54 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA)

The Generals now possess a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chavez for a South Sequoia battle on Tuesday, January 3. Shafter will battle a Titans team coming off a 60-51 non-league loss to Mira Monte (Bakersfield, CA). The Titans record now stands at 10-4.

The Lions (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Coastal Christian (Pismo Beach, CA). The Conquerors come into the Coast Valley battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Coastal Christian beat Maricopa (Maricopa, CA), 80-62, in a league battle.
