In Thursday's non-league outing, the Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX), by a margin of 71-67.

The Vipers (14-7) will now prepare for their outing against Glenn (Leander, TX). The Grizzlies go into the non-league outing with a 11-9 record. In their last outing, Glenn held off Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX), 60-53, in a non-league outing.

The Thunderbirds now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Creek for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 29. Wagner will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 59-48 non-league win over Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX). The Lions record now stands at 14-6.
