Albany Hornets (Albany, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), 47-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Albany upgrades its record to 19-0 on the campaign. The Hornets host Glen Oaks (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Glen Oaks won 28-25 in their recent non-league bout against McKinley (Baton Rouge, LA)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Richwood Rams (Monroe, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Ruston will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 57-36 non-league loss to Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA).
