The Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA) basketball felled the visiting Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA), 57-42 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Golden Tornado (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Seneca Valley (Harmony, PA). The Raiders go into the WPIAL 6A 1 test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Seneca Valley thwarted South Side (Hookstown, PA), 72-16, in a non-league test.
The Antelopes now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to South Allegheny for a WPIAL 3A 2 test on Monday, January 2. Avonworth will encounter a Gladiators squad coming off a 43-29 non-league loss to South Park (South Park, PA). The Gladiators record now stands at 4-4.
