Onalaska Hilltoppers (Onalaska, WI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI), 46-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Onalaska upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Aquinas (La Crosse, WI) to play the Blugolds in a Marinette & Oconto bout on Thursday, January 5. The Blugolds come into the bout with a record of 9-2.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Holmen Vikings (Holmen, WI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Chippewa Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
