North Carolina High School Basketball - Franklin over Union County

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) and the visiting Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA), saw Franklin's basketball squad overcome Union County by a tally of 57-44.

With the victory, Franklin improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Swain County (Bryson City, NC) to confront the Maroon Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Maroon Devils come into the challenge with a record of 6-5.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Union County will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 70-57 non-league loss to Rabun County (Tiger, GA).
