North Carolina High School Basketball - Galax nipped by Surry Central

December 29, 2022: Dobson, NC 27017

The Surry Central Golden Eagles tipped the visiting Galax Maroon Tide basketball team by a final score of 46-42 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles face the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 3. Surry Central will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 0-11 record after their 40-29 non-league loss to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC).

With the defeat, Galax moves to 5-5 on the year. The Maroon tide travel to Grayson County (Independence, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire game on Tuesday, January 3. The Blue Devils enter the game with a record of 3-5.
