John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Plano Wildcats (Plano, TX), 69-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, John Paul II upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to La Vega (Waco, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 19-3. La Vega won 68-34 in their recent non-league bout against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Plano will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 61-55 non-league win over Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX).
