With the victory, Lakota East improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Thunderhawks travel to Lakota West (West Chester, OH) to play the Firebirds in a Greater Miami challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Firebirds come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Lakota West won 50-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Mercy McAuley (Cincinnati, OH)

Next up, the Silver Knights play the Hughes BIG RED (Cincinnati, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Summit Country Day will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The BIG RED come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 56-22 non-league win over DePaul Cristo Rey (Cincinnati, OH).
