Texas High School Basketball - Montgomery trounces MacArthur

December 29, 2022: Houston, TX 77039

The Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) basketball crushed the host MacArthur Generals (Houston, TX), 56-21 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Bears (16-6) will now prepare for their test against Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region III District 21 test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, Magnolia West was trounced by Bowie (Austin, TX), 39-37, in a non-league test.

The Generals now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Spring for a 6A Region II District 14 test on Tuesday, January 3. MacArthur will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 59-22 non-league win over Willis (Willis, TX). The Lions record now stands at 13-7.
