Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL), 36-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Riverdale upgrades its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL) to play the Panthers in a Three Rivers - West bout on Thursday, January 5. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Erie-Prophetstown lost 51-25 in their recent non-league bout against Mercer County (Aledo, IL)

Next up, the Spartans play the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Thursday, January 5. St. Joseph-Ogden will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record.
