Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Los Altos Eagles (Los Altos, CA), 39-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Summit Shasta upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Black Bears travel to Mills (Millbrae, CA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Mills lost 38-23 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln (San Francisco, CA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Los Altos will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Matadors go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 38-32 non-league win over Los Altos (Los Altos, CA).
