Foothill Cougars (Palo Cedro, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA), 42-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Foothill upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Placer (Auburn, CA) to play the Hillmen in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Hillmen go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Placer won 57-39 in their recent non-league bout against Amador (Sutter Creek, CA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Capital Christian Cougars (Sacramento, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Rio Americano will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 59-49 non-league win over Folsom (Folsom, CA).
