Elko Indians (Elko, NV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host American Heritage Patriots (American Fork, UT), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elko upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Indians travel to Desert Hills (St. George, UT) to clash with the Thunder in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Thunder go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Desert Hills won 66-44 in their recent non-league bout against Tooele (Tooele, UT)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the East Leopards (Salt Lake City, UT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. American Heritage will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Leopards go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 68-62 non-league loss to Timpanogos (Orem, UT).
