North Carolina High School Basketball - Cary nips Ashley

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cary Imps (Cary, NC) and the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), saw Cary's basketball squad hold off Ashley by a tally of 48-42.

With the victory, Cary improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Imps travel to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Hoggard lost 63-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Wakefield (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Screaming Eagle play the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Ashley will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 61-56 non-league win over Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC).
