Georgia High School Basketball - Habersham Central tops Athens Academy

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) and the host Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA), saw Habersham Central's basketball squad knock off Athens Academy by a count of 58-48.
With the victory, Habersham Central upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Shiloh (Snellville, GA) to play the Generals in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Shiloh lost 56-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA)
Next up, the Spartans play the Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) in a AA Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Athens Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record.
