New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Burnsville Blaze (Burnsville, MN), 48-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Prague upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Trojans travel to Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN) to play the Komets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Komets go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Kasson-Mantorville lost 77-72 in their recent non-league bout against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN)

Next up, the Blaze play the Jefferson Jaguars (Bloomington, MN) in a AAAA Section 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Burnsville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 62-36 non-league loss to St. Paul Central (St. Paul, MN).
