The Verona Hillbillies basketball team (Verona, NJ), was overwhelmed 59-26 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ)
The Chiefs now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Columbia for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 4.
The Hillbillies (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Weequahic (Newark, NJ). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Weequahic was overwhelmed by Montclair Kimberley Academy (Montclair, NJ), 56-51, in a league battle.
