Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carver upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Columbus (Columbus, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a AAA Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Columbus won 58-49 in their recent non-league bout against Northside (Columbus, GA)

Next up, the Lions play the Villa Rica Wildcats (Villa Rica, GA) in a AAAAA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Lithia Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 63-55 non-league loss to Central (Carrollton, GA).
