Nevada High School Basketball - Chaparral topped by Reed

The Reed Raiders basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Chaparral Cowboys to 53 in the Raiders non-league victory on Friday.

The Raiders now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carson for a 4A Northern contest on Thursday, January 4. Reed will battle a Senators team coming off a 59-50 non-league loss to Shasta (Redding, CA). The Senators record now stands at 4-9.

The Cowboys (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Shadow Ridge (Las Vegas, NV). The Mustangs come into the 4A Sky contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Shadow Ridge was defeated by Sacramento (Sacramento, CA), 53-51, in a non-league contest.
