Chuckey-Doak Black Knights (Afton, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lenoir City Panthers (Lenoir City, TN), 65-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chuckey-Doak upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Black Knights travel to North Greene (Greeneville, TN) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 5-8. North Greene lost 67-65 in their recent non-league bout against Unicoi County (Erwin, TN)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the McMinn Central Chargers (Englewood, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Lenoir City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 59-51 non-league loss to Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA).
