Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Coleman Cougars (Coleman, WI), 44-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Superior Central upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Republic-Michigamme (Republic, MI) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Republic-Michigamme lost 65-28 in their recent non-league bout against Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI)

Next up, the Cougars play the Oconto Blue Devils (Oconto, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Coleman will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 75-74 non-league win over Oconto Falls (Oconto Falls, WI).
