Texas High School Basketball - Morton Ranch edges Cypress Ridge

The Morton Ranch Mavericks (Katy, TX) basketball nipped the host Cypress Ridge Rams (Houston, TX), 67-62 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mavericks (3-16) will now prepare for their test against Mayde Creek (Houston, TX). The Rams go into the 6A Region III District 19 test with a 7-12 record. In their last test, Mayde Creek was tipped by North Shore (Houston, TX), 51-44, in a non-league test.

The Rams now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they travel to Stratford for a 6A Region III District 17 test on Friday, January 5. Cypress Ridge will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 77-42 league win over Spring Woods (Houston, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 10-13.
