The Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL), 54-51 in Friday's non-league test.
The Warriors (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Hawks go into the Central Suburban - South test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Maine South was tipped by Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL), 61-51, in a non-league test.
The Bengals now own a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Libertyville for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Oak Forest will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 53-29 non-league loss to Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-9.
