The Douglas Eagles basketball team (Douglas, AL), was toppled 58-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY)
The Rockets now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Somerset for a District 47 battle on Tuesday, January 2. Rockcastle County will confront a Briar Jumpers team coming off a 86-34 non-league win over Somerset Christian (Somerset, KY). The Briar Jumpers record now stands at 9-3.
The Eagles (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against New Hope (New Hope, AL). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 12-6 record. In their last battle, New Hope was toppled by St. John Paul II (Huntsville, AL), 62-53, in a non-league battle.
