The Eastern Eagles basketball team (Reedsville, OH), was overwhelmed 65-41 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH)
The Marauders now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander for a Tri-Valley I battle on Friday, January 5. Meigs will confront a Spartans team coming off a 61-58 non-league loss to West Muskingum (Zanesville, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 0-10.
The Eagles (0-9) will now prepare for their battle against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The Big Blacks come into the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Point Pleasant was overwhelmed by Riverside (Belle, WV), 57-42, in a non-league battle.
