In Friday's non-league outing, the St. Thomas Academy Cadets (Mendota Heights, MN) basketball squad edged the visiting Edison Tommies (Minneapolis, MN), by a count of 80-75.

The Cadets (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN). The Pioneers go into the non-league outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Hill-Murray was tipped by Red Wing (Red Wing, MN), 93-77, in a non-league outing.

The Tommies now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Minneapolis Southwest for a non-league outing on Monday, January 8.
