The Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI) basketball knocked off the host Fitzgerald Spartans (Warren, MI), 77-66 in Friday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (6-4) will now prepare for their test against L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI). The Crusaders go into the Macomb Area - Red test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, L'Anse Creuse North notched a victory over Meridian (Sanford, MI), 56-54, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to L'Anse Creuse for a non-league test on Thursday, January 4. Fitzgerald will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 73-46 non-league win over Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI). The Lancers record now stands at 3-5.
