Morrison Mustangs (Morrison, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL), 69-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Morrison upgrades its record to 3-9 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Fulton (Fulton, IL) to play the Steamers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Steamers go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Fulton lost 57-47 in their recent non-league bout against Mercer County (Aledo, IL)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Forreston will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 65-53 non-league loss to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL).
