    • Maryland High School Basketball - New Town trounced by Hayfield

    December 29, 2023: Owings Mills, MD 21117

    The Hayfield Hawks routed the host New Town basketball team by a final score of 71-41 in Friday's non-league game.

    In their next game, the Hawks face the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials (Alexandria, VA) in a District 3 game, on Wednesday, January 3. Hayfield will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Colonials enter the game with a 2-4 record after their 60-57 non-league loss to Yorktown (Arlington, VA).

    With the defeat, New Town moves to 2-5 on the year. The host Carver A&T (Towson, MD) to face the Wildcats in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 3. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 0-5. Carver A&T lost 65-46 in their recent non-league game against Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD)
