In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Kirtland Hornets basketball team scored a tight 65-62 triumph over the Independence Blue Devils.
In their next game, the Hornets meet the Geneva Eagles (Geneva, OH) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, January 3. Kirtland will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 6-2 record after their 63-59 non-league win over Berkshire (Burton, OH).
