Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rockwell Christian School Chargers (Rockwell, NC), 57-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jackson Day upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Mariners host Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Corvian Community won 71-55 in their recent non-league bout against North Stanly (New London, NC)

Next up, the Chargers play the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Rockwell Christian School will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The NightHawks come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 46-34 league win over Providence Classical (Rock Hill, SC).
