The Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR) basketball nipped the host Jasper Pirates (Jasper, AR), 53-50 in Friday's non-league test.

The Yellowjackets (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Mustangs go into the 3A Region 2 test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Hoxie was tipped by Corning (Corning, AR), 72-45, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they host Omaha for a 1A Region 1 East contest on Thursday, January 4.
