Mississippi High School Basketball - Jefferson County nips St. Andrew's Episcopal

Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints (Ridgeland, MS), 57-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jefferson County upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Wesson (Wesson, MS) to play the Cobras in a 3A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Cobras come into the bout with a record of 3-11. Wesson lost 74-41 in their recent non-league bout against Pisgah (Sandhill, MS)

Next up, the Saints play the Pisgah Dragons (Sandhill, MS) in a 2A Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. St. Andrew's Episcopal will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record.
