With the win, Kenedy upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Lions travel to Refugio (Refugio, TX) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Sharks clash with the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats (Bloomington, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Palacios will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Bobcats/Lady Cats go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 79-11 non-league win over Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX).
