Tennessee High School Basketball - Lawrence County tipped by Mars

The Mars Fightin' Planets basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Lawrence County Wildcats to 62 in the Fightin' Planets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Fightin' Planets now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Hills for a WPIAL 5A 4 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Mars will meet a Indians team coming off a 60-41 non-league win over Altoona (Altoona, PA). The Indians record now stands at 4-4.

The Wildcats (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rockvale (Rockvale, TN). The enter the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Rockvale was nudged by Trinity Christian Academy (Jackson, TN), 68-63, in a non-league contest.
