Marist Spartans (Eugene, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Philomath Warriors (Philomath, OR), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Marist upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Cascade (Turner, OR) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Cascade lost 68-61 in their recent non-league bout against Sumner (Sumner, WA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Amity Warriors (Amity, OR) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Philomath will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 55-50 non-league loss to Crane (Crane, OR).
