North Carolina High School Basketball - McDowell winner over Patton

December 29, 2023: Marion, NC 28752

In Friday's non-league outing, the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), by a margin of 66-58.

The Titans (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Rams go into the 3A/4A Mountain outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, T.C. Roberson thwarted Draughn (Valdese, NC), 64-44, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now own a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Brevard for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills outing on Wednesday, January 3. Patton will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 64-42 non-league win over Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-5.
