California High School Basketball - Torres can't hold off Mendota

The Mendota Aztecs basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Torres Toros to 55 in the Aztecs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Aztecs now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Los Banos for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Mendota will battle a Tigers team coming off a 53-44 non-league win over Sanger West (Fresno, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-4.

The Toros (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sanger West (Fresno, CA). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Sanger West was nudged by Los Banos (Los Banos, CA), 53-44, in a non-league contest.
