The Wheeler Lions basketball team (North Stonington, CT), dropped 56-38 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Morgan Huskies (Clinton, CT)
The Huskies now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Branford for a Shoreline battle on Tuesday, January 2. Morgan will battle a Thunderbirds team coming off a 61-59 league win over Hale Ray (Moodus, CT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-4.
The Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT). The Tigers come into the Eastern Connecticut IV battle with a 2-1 record.
