North Carolina High School Basketball - North Davidson can't hold off Watauga

December 29, 2023: Boone, NC 28607

The North Davidson Black Knights basketball team (Lexington, NC), was nudged 63-56 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC)

The Pioneers now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Apex Friendship for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 30. Watauga will battle a Patriots team coming off a 64-49 non-league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 7-2.

The Black Knights (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Pride come into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Pine Lake Prep edged Johnson County (Mountain City, TN), 75-38, in a non-league outing.
