North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwood nips Richmond

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) and the host Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC), saw Northwood's basketball squad hold off Richmond by a count of 56-53.

With the victory, Northwood upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Reidsville (Reidsville, NC) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 6-0. Reidsville won 73-71 in their recent non-league challenge against Cannon (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Raiders play the Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Richmond will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 73-71 non-league loss to Reidsville (Reidsville, NC).
