Pelican Rapids Vikings (Pelican Rapids, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN), 70-64 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pelican Rapids upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Vikings host East Grand Forks (East Grand Forks, MN) to clash with the Green Wave in a AA Section 8 bout on Friday, January 5. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 5-5.
Next up, the Knights clash with the Barnesville Trojans (Barnesville, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. West Central Area will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 71-63 non-league win over MACCRAY (Clara City, MN).
